Safety
Haulbound can change five things in your store: mark an order shipped, change a price, change a quantity, send a discount offer to the people watching a listing, and refund a buyer. Every one of them shows you exactly what it is about to do and stops until you say yes. Refunds get an extra guard: before sending one it re-reads the order, and if a refund appeared while you were deciding — from Seller Hub, another device, a buyer case — it stops and refunds nothing. There is still no payout tool and no cancellation tool — those were never built.
Ask it to change a price and it shows you exactly what it's about to do, then stops. Nothing happens until you confirm — and that's built into the tool itself, not a setting anyone can switch off.
Orders, buyers and listings pass straight from eBay to your chat and are gone. What we do keep: your eBay connection (encrypted), your subscription state, and a cached copy of your listing-traffic and seller-performance reports, held up to seven days because eBay rate-limits those reports hard. Disconnecting erases all of it. You sign in on eBay's screen, so we never see your password.
No scraping, no browser automation, nobody logging into your account. Haulbound runs on eBay's approved production APIs, on the seller-side of eBay's rules for AI tools.

No. Haulbound is hosted, so all of that is handled for you. You just sign in with the eBay account you already have.
eBay's rules ban buyer-side bots that place orders without human review. They are aimed at buyer-side automation, not at seller-side tools built on eBay's official API. Haulbound uses the official APIs with an approved production keyset, only ever touches your own seller account, and can't make a change without your confirmation.
It can refund a buyer on an order you already have. It shows you the exact amount first and does nothing until you confirm, and before it sends the refund it re-reads the order and stops if a refund appeared in the meantime. It cannot cancel an order and it cannot move money anywhere else: there's no payout tool and no cancellation tool. One limitation: eBay requires signed requests for refunds from EU and UK sellers, which Haulbound doesn't do yet, so refunds are unavailable on those accounts for now.
